While my office was in San Pedro area years ago, I started to Pro Tem on the San Pedro Municipal Court. At that time, My assignments were primarily to handle traffic trials. I worked about once or twice a month at that time, or occasionally more often as required.

In addition, while I was in my office in San Pedro, I also would fill in form Magistrate Thomas Crehan at the U.S. District Court in Pedro. This court had jurisdiction over the Navy base and Veterans Hospital and would handle misdemeanor crimes committed within their jurisdiction.

As a Magistrate Pro Tem, I would handle court trials, arraignments and the small claims court calendar.

While acting as a Pro Tem with the South Bay Court, I have handled the civil trial calendar, the law and motion calendar, traffic trials and arraignments and the small claims court calendar.

When my office was in South Bay earlier in my career, I would Pro Tem as often as 4 times per month or as little as once a month depending on my calendar and the court's needs.

Again with the Westminster court, I have handled small claims and traffic trials on a schedule of once or twice a month depending on my availability.

I have been an arbitrator for the Southeast Judicial District for approximately three years. This panel services Downey, Los Cerritos, and Huntington Park courts. The cases I have arbitrated have not been of great significance except to the parties. The cases have been the type that are heard in Municipal Court.

I have heard auto accident cases, breach of contract cases, breach of implied warranty of habitability, slip and fall cases, etc.

Currently, my most recent assignments have been in Traffic Court in Long Beach where I handle traffic arraignments.
